AACS Alumni Association

Life Achievement Award

Background on AACS Alumni Association Life Achievement Award

The AACS Alumni Association Board of Directors have established the AACS Life Achievement Award to honor those members who have distinguished themselves in service to the Association by devoting many hours, days and years to making the Association one of the best going. The express purpose of this program is to recognize and to hold in high esteem those individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary and inordinate service to the Association and/or in other activities that are noteworthy. .   The Board of Directors will solicit from the membership those individuals who may qualify for this high honor on an annual basis. Member input for nominations (electronic format acceptable) with justification, should be sent to the Executive Director for consideration, not later than July 15th of each year. This is a way for us to highlight the accomplishments of so many of our members who have demonstrated outstanding service/performance to the Association and/or other notable contributions that are considered noteworthy. This program is not an annual award, but one that will be presented on a "as justified basis". The first AACS Alumni Association Life Achievement Award was presented to Ted V. Carlson at the 25th AACS Annual Reunion in Knoxville, Tennessee on September 22, 2001. Ted was honored for his long and dedicated service as the Director for Membership and Editor/Publisher of the Alumni Newsletter.  SEE LIFE ACHIEVEMENT POLICY BELOW.
